number one: when substances like rock and minerals are being physically broken down, its called weathering.

Number two: when particles are carried away to another location exp " a river carrying rocks to an ocean" that's called deposition

Number three: this would also be weathering because it is physically being worn down

Number four: would be a topographic map, because theses maps use lines to study elevation instead of color

500 mL of He at 300 K is heated to 450 K. Find V2
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

V2 = 0.75 L

Explanation:

assumin ideal gas:

  • PV = RTn

∴ T1 = 300K

∴ V1 = 0.500 L

∴ T2 = 450 K

⇒ V2 = ?

assuming P, n constant:

⇒ PV1 = RT1n

⇒ V1/T1 = Rn/P = K..........(1)

⇒ V2/T2 = RN/P = K..........(2)

(1) = (2):

⇒ V1/T1 = V2/T2

⇒ V2 = (V1/T1)T2

⇒ V2 = (0.500 L/300 K)(450 K)

⇒ V2 = 0.75 L

The amount of calcium hydroxide needed to react completely with 100.0g of nitric acid
Pani-rosa [81]

The amount of Calcium hydroxide : = 58.719 g

Further explanation

Given

100 g Nitric Acid-HNO₃

Required

The amount of Calcium hydroxide

Solution

Reaction(balanced) :

Ca(OH)₂ (s) + 2HNO₃ (aq) → Ca(NO₃)₂ (aq) + 2H₂O (l)

mol of Nitric acid (MW 63 g/mol) :

mol = mass : MW

mol = 100 : 63

mol = 1.587

From the equation, mol ratio of Ca(OH)₂ : HNO₃ = 1 : 2, so mol Ca(OH)₂ :

=1/2 x mol HNO₃

= 1/2 x 1.587

=0.7935

Mass of Ca(OH)₂ (MW=74 g/mol) :

= mol x MW

= 0.7935 x 74

= 58.719 g

What is the nuclear charge of an atom with a mass of 23 and an atomic number of 11?
Jobisdone [24]
The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus. These are the only nuclear particles carrying charge; each carries a charge of 1 elementary unit.

answer = 11 just because that is the amount of protons it has and therefore positive charge
