Answer: Cytotoxic T cells

Explanation:

A Cytotoxic T cell is a cell whose activation is mainly aimed at destroying cells that are infected by virus. It is a type of white blood cells that destroys cancerous cells or cells that are impaired especially by viruses. A Cytotoxic cell is also known as T-killer cells, Cytolytic T cells, T lymphocyte.

Cytotoxic T cells destroy target cells by prearranged apoptoses.

An evolutionary psychologist would suggest that people are genetically predisposed to.
Butoxors [25]

An evolutionary psychologist would suggest that people are genetically predisposed to fear dangerous animals, love their own children, and seek healthy-looking mates.

Who is an Evolutionary psychology?

This refers to a branch of science which studies how the brain has evolved from generation to generation and also involves human behavior being viewed through the lens of evolution. A professional who specializes in this branch of science is referred to as an evolutionary psychologist.

As humans, we strive daily for our optimal survival over the years which is why it is imperative and a norm to avoid dangerous situations such as encounters with wild animals etc.

It is also a norm to love our offspring and finding a healthy mate for better companionship which is common with almost all animals which is therefore the reason why evolutionary psychologist would suggest that people are genetically predisposed to these conditions.

Meiosis reduces chromosome number and rearranges genetic information. Explain how the reduction and rearrangement are accomplish
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

Explanation:

Meiosis is a form of cell division that occurs in the sex cells of organisms. It ensures the reduction of a diploid cell to an haploid cell to allow for the formation of a diploid zygote after fertilization (contribution of both parents haploid sex cells to give a diploid zygote). Thus, this process is very essential and important.

The reduction is accomplished by 2 divisions after the duplication of chromosomes

- first division: separation of homologous pairs of chromosomes (this reduces the total in half)

- second division: separation of sister chromatids of a chromosome.

The rearrangement in meiosis occurs by crossing over/genetic recombination.

This is the exchange of genetic material between homologous pairs of chromosome bringing about a rearrangement and genetic variation

An example of a chromosomal abnormality that arises as a result of defects in this process is the Down Syndrome which is caused by a nondisjunction of the chromosomes 21 pair in a sex cell.

This condition produces offsprings that have some characteristic facial features, short stature etc

why is protein synthesis different in prokaryotes and eukaryotes in prokaryotes dna is stored in the cytoplasm in prokaryotes dn
IRINA_888 [86]

In eukaryotes, it exists slowly because the pre- mRNA exists first synthesized in the nucleus and after splicing, the mature mRNA arrives in the cytoplasm for translation.

Therefore, the correct answer is option B. In prokaryotes, DNA is stored in the cytoplasm.

Why protein synthesis exists different in prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

The genetic material DNA in prokaryotes forms a cluster in one kind of cytoplasm. This exists named the nucleoid. This exists because they don't contain a well-structured nucleus with a nuclear membrane.

Due to this, the method of transcription in prokaryotes takes place in the cytoplasm, constituting a polycistronic mRNA. This mRNA later experiences translation to contain any number of proteins.

The method of protein synthesis exists faster in prokaryotes as the whole procedure takes place in the cytoplasm.
