Answer:

Explanation:

Absolute Advantage : Someone can produce more output of a good/service with lower input.    (Input = time here)

Comparative Advantage : Someone can produce more of a good/service with lesser opportunity cost in terms of other good/service.

                Clutch          Brakes       Trade off ratios

Nancy           4              2                   1:2 / 0.5:1

Bill                6               2                   3:1 / 1:0.33

** Nancy & Bill are equally efficient with brakes, take equal time in that (2=2). Nancy is more efficient with clutch - takes lesser time than Bill (4<6) .

So - Nobody has Absolute Advantage in brakes, but Nancy has Absolute Advantage in clutch.

** Nancy is twice more productive in Brakes than Clutch (takes half time in brakes than clutch - 2,4). Bill is thrice more productive in Brakes than Clutch (takes 1/3rd time than clutch - 2,6).

Nancy can replace brakes by sacrifising o.5 of a clutch replacement, Bill can replace brakes by sacrifising lesser i.e 0.33 of a clutch replacement. Also -  Nancy can replace Clutch by sacrifising 2 brakes replacement, Bill can replace clutch by sacrifising more i.e 3 brakes replacement)

So, Bill has Comparative Advantage in Brakes, Nancy has comparative Advantage in Clutch.

Glascro Company manufactures skis. The management accountant wants to calculate the fixed and variable costs associated with the
Ber [7]

Answer:

$1,000

Explanation:

We know that

Total cost = Fixed cost + Variable cost

From the data given, we can calculate the variable cost using the high-low technique.

Variable cost per unit

=\frac{Total cost at highest level-Total cost at lowest level }{Highest level - Lowest level} \\\\=\frac{16,000-10,000}{1,000-600 } \\

=$15

Lease cost = FC + $15(Machine hours)

Lease cost -$15(Machine hours) = FC

Case,

i) 800 machine hours,

FC = Lease cost - $15(Machine hours)

     = $16,000 -$15(1000) = $1,000

Would you expect holding cost to go down with increases in maximum capacity?
xxTIMURxx [149]

Answer: The answer is given below

Explanation:

Holding costs are the costs that.has to do with the storage of inventory that were not sold. costs and they are storage space, price of damaged or spoilt goods, labor, and insurance.

It should be noted that with regard to holding cost, increasing peak capacity will be expected to reduce since the capacity is typically inversely proportional to the theory of the holding cost as there may be a reduction in the holding cost so as to increase the capacity.
