1 pair of socks cost $6.50.

First you multiply 5 (For the five sisters) by 12 (The cost of the scarves) and you get 60. You subtract the cost of the scarves (60) from the total cost, 125. You then get 65, each sister got two pair of socks, so divide the amount by ten. Each pair of socks costs 6.5 dollars.

Darien ordered soda for $2.75, a sandwich for $8.50, and a dessert for $3.85. Sales tax was $1.15. Use mental math to find the t
natta225 [31]
What I would do is start with the price of the dessert and the sales tax $3.85+ $1.15= $5. I started with this because when you add the cents they equal a dollar which makes it easier to continue.

Then I would add the 2.75. This would be 7.75.

Then add 7.75 + 8.50. To simplify this, you can add 7 + 8, then .75+ .50

Which would equal 15 + 1.25 + 16.25

If $560 is sheared in the ratio 2:3:9 , the difference between the largest and the smallest shares is
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

The difference between the largest and the smallest shares is $280

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount to be shared = $560

Ratios of share are 2:3:9 => Total of 14 equal portions

To get one portion, $560 / 14 = $40

First share is 2, therefore $40 x 2 =        $80 (smallest share)

Second share is 3, therefore $40 x 3 = $120

Third share is 9, therefore $40 x 9 =    $360 (largest share)

                                            <u>TOTAL =     $560</u>

The difference between the largest and the smallest = $360 - $80

                                                                                        = $280

I'm kinda lost in this problem. Can you teach me how to solve these
boyakko [2]

53) Vertical angles are congruent, so m\angle IDA=121^{\circ}

54) \angle YDA and \angle YDF are supplementary, so m\angle YDA=180^{\circ}-121^{\circ}=59^{\circ}

55) Because vertical angles are congruent, m\angle FDI=59^{\circ}. Now, because DR bisects \angle FDI, this means m\angle RDI=\frac{59}{2}=29.5^{\circ}

56) This is a geometric sequence where the next term is obtained by multiplying the previous term by -2, so the next two numbers are 16, -32

What is 280.0575 as a fraction
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer...

280\frac{23}{400}

Steps....

1) Rewrite the decimal number as a fraction with 1 in the denominator

2) Multiply to remove 4 decimal places. Here, you multiply top and bottom by 10^{4} = 10000

3) Find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) of 2800575 and 10000, if it exists, and reduce the fraction by dividing both numerator and denominator by GCF = 25

4) Simplify the improper fraction!
