The lemon test, refers  to the process of determining as to when a  law has the effect of establishing religion.  With the Lemon test, the court would examine  the proposed aid to the religious entity and  ensure that it had a clear secular purpose.  The second part establishes, that the court would also  determine if the primary effect of the aid would   advance or inhibit religion. The third part  

establishes, that the court would examine whether  the air would create an excessive governmental  entanglement with religion.
