Answer is c as the equation for the volume of a cylinder is pi x r^2 x h which equated to pi x 25 x 11 which equals 275 and your units have to be cubed as it is volume.

Solve f - 6 = 3f + 1
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
Simplifying f + -6 = 3f + 1 Reorder the terms: -6 + f = 3f + 1 Reorder the terms: -6 + f = 1 + 3f Solving -6 + f = 1 + 3f Solving for variable 'f'. Move all terms containing f to the left, all other terms to the right. Add '-3f' to each side of the equation. -6 + f + -3f = 1 + 3f + -3f Combine like terms: f + -3f = -2f -6 + -2f = 1 + 3f + -3f Combine like terms: 3f + -3f = 0 -6 + -2f = 1 + 0 -6 + -2f = 1 Add '6' to each side of the equation. -6 + 6 + -2f = 1 + 6 Combine like terms: -6 + 6 = 0 0 + -2f = 1 + 6 -2f = 1 + 6 Combine like terms: 1 + 6 = 7 -2f = 7 Divide each side by '-2'. f = -3.5 Simplifying f = -3.5

Find the area of the right triangle.. height is 8cm and the hypotenuse is 10cm
katrin [286]
Alright!

The formula of area of a triangle is base x height /2

so you're given the height and hypotenuse.

Do the reverse of the pythagorean theorem to find the base

a^2= c^2 -b^2

c^2 is the hypotenuse and b^2 is the height

a^2= 10^2 - 8^2
a^2 = 100 - 84
a^2 = 16
a= (square root the 16)
a= 4 cm

now put these numbers into the formula for area of a triangle
bxh / 2
(4x8)/ 2
= 16 cm squared !!

hope that makes sense :)
