Answer:

D- reflected the racism that was prevalent in the South during the 1930s.

Explanation:

The Scottsboro Boys were nine black teenagers falsely accused of raping two white women aboard a train near Scottsboro, Alabama, in 1931. The trials and repeated retrials of the Scottsboro Boys sparked an international uproar and produced two landmark U.S. Supreme Court verdicts, even as the defendants were forced to spend years battling the courts and enduring the harsh conditions of the Alabama prison system.

Answer: c. Represented progress in the cause of civil rights for African-Americans. It also

(d). reflected the racism that was prevalent in the South during the 1930s.

Explanation: In the Scottsboro case, Nine young black Americans ages 12 to 19 were charged with raping of two white women in a train near the small town of Scottsboro, Alabama.

The case was vital in the pursuit of civil rights and protection. The case also led to two landmark Supreme Court rulings that established important rights for criminal defendants and a fair hearing. The Supreme Court also reversed the judgement because the jury was only made of white people and there was no fair hearing of the case.

Their trials began and eight of the nine boy having been found guilty of the charges by a racist all-white juries were sentenced to death in the electric chair despite reasonable evidences that they were not quilty but innocent.

tony lives on one side of the city and works on the other. he will save ten minutes if he drives through the park
Ne4ueva [31]

Incomplete question. The remaining part of the question reads;

The city of Beautifica has established a lovely park in the city. The city council wishes to preserve some elements of nature, undisturbed by city noise, traffic, pollution, and crowding. The park is a place where citizens can go and find grass, trees, flowers, and quiet. In addition, there are playgrounds and picnic areas, and at one time a road ran through the park. Now the road is closed. The city council has enacted a law requiring that all entrances to the park have the following signposted: NO VEHICLES IN THE PARK.

The law seems clear, but some disputes have arisen over its interpretation. Interpret the law in the following cases, keeping in mind what the law says (the letter of the law) as well as the legislative intent. Examine the situation and decide whether or not the vehicle described should be allowed in the park.

Tony lives on one side of the city and works on the other. He will save ten minutes if he drives through the park.

Answer:

Tony should not be allowed.

Explanation:

We can make this conclusion because Tony's reasons constitute part of the reasons why the park was closed from vehicles; in other to be undisturbed by traffic or pollution from vehicles.

Hence, it will be reasonable for Tony to use other means of transportation such as a bicycle to go through the park.
