Answer:

The cost of soft drink is $0.95

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of hot dog be x

Cost of 2 hot dogs = 2x

Let the cost of soft drink be y

Cost of 3 soft drinks = 3y

At a cost restaurant the cost for a hot dog and a soft drink is $2.10.

So, x+y=2.10

The cost for two hot dogs and three soft drinks is $5.15

So, 2x+3y=5.15

Plot the lines on the graph:

x+y=2.10 --Purple line

2x+3y=5.15 --- Black Line

Intersection point =(x,y)=(1.15,0.95)

Hence The cost of soft drink is $0.95

Write y=(x-7)(x-1) in standard form
Oxana [17]
In order to write this quadratic equation in standard form, first note that standard form is ax^2+bx+c for quadratics, where c is the numerical value (constant), B is the coefficient of x, and a is the coefficient of x^2 and is the leading coefficient. Next, multiply the binomials of (x-7) and (x-1). You can do this by using FOIL, or by distributing each of the terms in a binomial to each of the other terms in the other binomial. (Please let me know if you need a walk through in this step in particular). Furthermore, you should then write y= (the simplified trinomial). Now, the quadratic is in standard form. To reiterate, just simplify the two binomials by multiplying them together and writing that they're equal to y.

The table represents f(x), and the graph represents g(x). Which statements about the functions are true for the interval [4, 10]
nikitadnepr [17]
The rate of change for f(x) for the interval [4,10] will be approximated by:
=(Δ y-axis)/(Δ x-axis)
=(0.4-1)/(10-4)
=-0.1

Rate of change for g(x) for interval [4,10]
=(1-2.5)/(10-4)
=-0.25

from the above guesstimate we can deduce that average rate of change for f(x) is less than that of g(x). Thus the answer will be:
B) The average rate of change of f(x) is less than the average rate of change of g(x).
