This question is just division! As the person above me said, the answer is 8. One way to remember this is the future is by remembering “5 6 7 8” just by counting in order, you can remember that 56 is just 7 times 8 :)

JulsSmile [24]
18 + 14 + 14 = 46 oz

Then there are 16 oz in a pound so we take 46 oz ÷ 16 oz and we get 46/16 in fraction form. Then we simplify this out and get 2 7/8 pounds.

the area of a rectangle garden is 38 1/4 square meters.The width of the garden is 4 1/2 meters.Find the length of the garden.
never [62]
Area = 38 1/4 = 153/4

Width = 4 1/2 = 9/2

Area = Length x Width

Length = Area/Width

So divide both of them:
\sf{ \frac{153}{4} \div \frac{9}{2} =\sf{ \frac{153}{4} \times \frac{2}{9} = \frac{9 \times 17}{2\times 2}\times \frac{2}{9} = \frac{17}{2}

So the length is equal to \boxed{\sf{\frac{17}{2}}}
