Point-slope form is y - y_{1} = m (x - x_{1}), wher m is slope and x_{1} and y_{1} are the given coordinates.

y - 1 = \frac{3}{2} (x - (-5))   Cancel out the double negative
<span>y - 1 = \frac{3}{2} (x + 5)   Use the Distributive Property
</span>y - 1 = \frac{3}{2}x + \frac{3 x 5}{2}   Simplify the numerator
y - 1 = \frac{3}{2}x + \frac{15}{2}   Simplify the fraction
y - 1 = \frac{3}{2}x + 7\frac{1}{2}   Add 1 to both sides
y = \frac{3}{2}x + 8\frac{1}{2}

How does the radius of a positive and negative ion compare to a neutral atom?
Tanzania [10]

A neutral atom contains equal amount of proton and electron.

A negative ion contains extra electrons hence there is additional outer shell so it is expected that the radius is bigger than that of a neutral atom.

While a positive ion contains less electron so there is less outer shell so the radius is smaller than that of a neutral atom.

Arranging the radius in increasing order:

<span>positive ion, neutral atom, negative ion</span>

SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

1. (3^3 + 3^2)^2 actually equals (27 + 9)^2

which is the first mistake

2. (27 + 9)^2 does not equal (3^5)2, so (36)^2 does not equal 3^7

3. 3^7 DOES NOT EQUAL 21

Step-by-step explanation:

when you add powered numbers together, it does not multiply it, as your example:

1. (3^3 + 3^2)^2 actually equals (27 + 9)^2

which is the first mistake

2. (27 + 9)^2 does not equal (3^5)2, so (36)^2 does not equal 3^7

3. 3^7 DOES NOT EQUAL 21

3/4(n+3)=9 how do I find n
katrin [286]
It's one of the ways to count it:

3/4 (n + 3) = 9
3/4n + 3/4 * 3 = 9
3/4n + 9/4 = 9
3/4n + 2 1/4 = 9     / - 2 1/4 (both sides)
3/4n = 6 3/4     / : 3/4 (both sides)
n = 9
