Answer:

The sum of the polynomials is 11x^2 + x - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The given polynomials are:

11x^2 - 5 and x + 4

When we add the polynomials, we add only the like terms.

The like terms are the terms having the same variable with the same degree.

For examples, i ) 2x and 3x are like terms ii) -3x^3 and 5x^3 are the like terms

These terms have the same variable with the same power of x.

Given: 11x^2 - 5 and x+4

Here the like terms are -5 and 4

-5 + 4 = -1

When we add them, we get 11x^2 + x -1

Can someone answer this?
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

Convert decimals to fractions:

11/5x + 11/5 / 4= 1.1

Simplifies the fraction:

11x+11 / 20= 1.1

Remove denominator (then multiply by 20 on both sides):

11x+11=22

Move the x to the left:

11x= -11+22 → 11x=11

Simplify:

11x=11 → x=1

Graph Y = -1/2x-6<br> Please help me out! I will mark answer brainiest if you do...
elena55 [62]
Y = -1/2x - 6......u have a slope of -1/2....u have a y int of -6 or (0,-6)

the x int can be found by subbing in 0 for y and solving for x
0 = -1/2x - 6
1/2x = -6
x = -6 * 2
x = -12.....so ur x int is -12 or (-12,0)

so go ahead and plot ur intercepts.....(0,-6) and (-12,0)...well...u cant really plot ur x axis because ur graph is not big enough....so start at (0,-6)...and I know the slope is -1/2....and u would usually start at (-12,0)...but that is not on the graph....so start at (0.-6)....and go up 1 and to the left 2, plot that point....then up 1 and to the left 2...plot that point......u would eventually cross the x axis at (-12,0).

or u could just go to desmos....its a graphing calculator...and see for urself

Draw a bar model that shows how the number of hours in march compares to the number of hours in February this year
inysia [295]
I think you're supposed to multiply the amount of days in February and March by the amount of hours in a day however you might do that simply multiply the amount of days in February times 24 and the amount of days in March times 24 or how many hours is in a day
