Answer:

The former State Department employee that was accused of passing top-secret papers to the Soviets was Alger Hiss.

Explanation:

Alger Hiss worked in the administrations of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman. He was accused by the House Un-American Activities Committee  of having been a communist. He denied under oath, but was convicted of perjury thanks to the convincing testimony of Whittaker Chambers, his old party mate. From many subsequent research it appears that Hiss, in addition to being a communist, was also in all probability a Soviet spy.

What impact did the Colombian exchange have on people’s lives throughout the world?
olasank [31]

Answer:

it introduced new products into their lives

Explanation:

The Colombian exchange took goods from Europe and sent them to the Americas and Africa, in exchange for some of their products.  This also helped to better communicate ideas from one place to another.  This would also help to get inventions from one place to another and spread it throughout the world.  The Americans sent corn over to Europe, which is now a widely eaten vegetable.
