I believe the answer is: Organizational culture
Organizational culture would create an unique environment for the employees which could influence the performance of the employees.
For example, some companies value human relationship above others. So they require each of the employees to say 'good morning' to one another everytime they come to work.
In current Global Coffee market, most companies followed this mechanism:
- Buying the coffee beans from exotic regions such as Emirates Arab, Brazil, Indonesia, etc.
- Adding them with various ingredients
- Resell it to countries all over the world at a significantly higher price.
In this mechanism, the actual producer of the coffee do not even earn 1/4 of the companies in industrialized nations earn, which contribute to the Global inequality.

Well it just depends on how they deal with that stress if they have debts to pay or a family to feed and is falling behind in bills it might be hard to sleep knowing you can't support your family which leads to whom ever it may be in to a deep depression
