To find x you want to isolate x from all other variables in the equation.

In this equation you have to first undo 1/2, to do this, you subtract 1/2 on both sides of the equation. when you do this, the 1/2 on the left side will cancel out and on the right side of the equation will be 2/3-1/2=4/6-3/6=1/6

Now the equation looks like this:
2/3x=1/6

The next step is to cancel the 2/3. To do this, you divide 2/3 on both sides. On the left side it will cancel out, on the right side will be 1/6÷2/3.
since we know diving a fraction is the same as multiplying it's reciprocal we know that 1/6÷2/3=1/6*3/2=1/4

Now the equation looks like this:
x=1/4

x is 1/4 or 0.25

You need to isolate the variable meaning .make x the only thing on one side, you do this by doing the opposite of what is being done to it. 1/2 is being added to it so subtract 1/2 from both sides of the equel sign. Next it is being multiplied by 2/3 so divide by 2/3 on both sides and you have your answer, by doing the opposite of what is being done to x you cancel everything out on that side leaving only x.

In triangle FGH, angle G is 30 degrees and angle H is 100 degrees. What is the measure of angle F? * 1 point 50 degrees 70 degre
serg [7]
Mark brainlist please!

Answer is 50 degrees

Since,

measure of angle F + measure of angle G + measure of angle H = 180

30 + 100 + measure of angle F = 180

Measure of angle F = 180 - 130

Measure of angle F = 50 degrees

I think ur question is.. If you are making a certain amount u need 2 1/4 flour.. and u need to make half more than that isn't it?

2 1/4= 2.25

Take half of 2. 25= 1.115

Now add 2.25+1.115=3.365

State the equation of the line<br> that is perpendicular to 4x-3y=10<br> through the point (-2,4)
Lynna [10]

The equation of the line  that is perpendicular to 4x - 3y = 10  through the point (-2,4) is y-4=\frac{-3}{4}(x+2)

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, line equation is 4x – 3y = 10

We have to find a line that is perpendicular to 4x – 3y = 10 and passing through (-2, 4)

Now, let us find the slope of the given line,

\text { Slope of a line }=\frac{-\mathrm{x} \text { coefficient }}{\mathrm{y} \text { coefficient }}=\frac{-4}{-3}=\frac{4}{3}

We know that, slope of a line \times slope of perpendicular line = -1

\begin{array}{l}{\text { Then, } \frac{4}{3} \times \text { slope of perpendicular line }=-1} \\\\ {\rightarrow \text { slope of perpendicular line }=-1 \times \frac{3}{4}=-\frac{3}{4}}\end{array}

Now, slope of our required line = \frac{-3}{4} and it passes through (-2, 4)

<em><u>The point slope form is given as:</u></em>

\begin{array}{l}{y-y_{1}=m\left(x-x_{1}\right) \text { where } m \text { is slope and }\left(x_{1}, y_{1}\right) \text { is point on the line. }} \\\\ {\text { Here in our problem, } m=-\frac{3}{4}, \text { and }\left(x_{1}, y_{1}\right)=(-2,4)} \\\\ {\text { Then, line equation } \rightarrow y-4=-\frac{3}{4}(x-(-2))}\end{array}

y-4=\frac{-3}{4}(x+2)

Hence the equation of line is found out
