On average, children are exposed to more secondhand smoke than adults. Children are significantly affected by secondhand smoke. Children’s bodies are still developing, and exposure to the poisons in secondhand smoke puts them at risk of severe respiratory diseases and can hinder the growth of their lungs. Secondhand smoke is a known cause of low birth weight, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, middle ear infection, and other diseases.

tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

1. Civil money.

2. Civil money.

3. Criminal.

4. Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

5. Investigations.

Explanation:

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 was a bill enacted by the 104th U.S Congress and was signed in 1996 by President Bill Clinton. It is a federal law that protects sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without their knowledge, approval or consent and payment of health care insurance for employees.

For example, an employee or a worker can receive health insurance from his or her former employer even after changing job because of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

1. The two types of penalties for violating HIPAA are criminal and civil money penalties.

2. Getting fined for neglecting to follow HIPAA when you do not know any better is an example of a civil money penalty.

3. Getting fined a significant amount of money and going to jail for intentionally violating HIPAA is an example of a criminal penalty.

4. If you catch someone violating HIPAA in the workplace, you can file a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

5. After HIPAA complaints are filed, authorities conduct investigations to find out more about the situation and its severity.

The Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Ranges (AMDRs) recommend that 20 to 30 percent of energy should come from lipids. Give
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

600 kcal

Explanation:

AMDR or Acceptable Macronutrient Distirbution Ranges provides consumption range for each macronutrient which are proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The range is in form of percentage of daily calories which should come from the particular macronutrient.

AMDR for fats or lipids is 20-30%. It means that 20-30% of daily calorie intake should come from lipids. If the caloric requirement per day is 2000 kcal, maximum 30% of it should come from lipids:

0.3*2000 = 600 kcal.
