In order to the fourth player has the opportunity to bat, he/she needs that the three previous players make hit.

The joint probability of all three first batters make a hit is the product of their hitting percentages:

0.400 * 0.325 * 0.25

Pass the decimal numbers to fractions:

4/ 10 * 325/1000 * 25/100 = 32,500 / 1,000,000

Now simplify the fraction (divide numerator and denominator by 2500):

32,500 / 2,500 =   13

1,000,000 / 2,500 = 400

Then, 32,500 / 1,000,000 = 13 / 400

Answer: 13 / 400

Find the exponential function f(x)=Ca^x whose graph goes through the points (0,4) and (3,32).
kogti [31]
We are given the exponential expression f(x) = Ca^x that should pass through the points (0,4) and (3,32). In this case, we first substitute the first point, (0,4) to the function to yield 4 = Ca ^0; hence Ca is equal to 4. The final expression hence is f(x) = 4^x

A recipe calls for 1080 mL of broth. How many cups is that? (give answer in fraction form)
BigorU [14]
The necessary information regarding this problem is already given. Based on this information, the answer can be easily deduced.
236.5 ml = 1 cup
Then
1080 ml = 1080/236.5
              = 4.56 cups
              = 4 1/2 cups approx
From the above deduction we can conclude that the number of cups required for making the recipe is about 4 1/2 cups. I hope that this is the answer that has actually come to your desired help.
