Answer: There are 99 three-legged-cows  and 28 chickens.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of three-legged-cows and y be the number of chickens.

Number of legs in chicken = 2

The according to the question, we have the following equations :-

\text{For heads }x+y=127------(1)\\\\\text{For legs }3x+2y=353------(2)

Multiplying 2 to the equation (1), we get

2x+2y=254--------(3)

Now, subtract equation (3) from (2), we get

x=353-254=99

Put x= 99 in (1), we get

99+y=127\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=127-99=28

Hence, there are 99 three-legged-cows  and 28 chickens.

3/4 x 3 2/5 - 5/5(find the value of each of the following)
Triss [41]

The value of the given expression is \frac{-13}{20}.

Solution:

Given expression is \frac{3}{4} \times3\frac{2}{5}-\frac{5}{5}.

Let us first convert mixed fraction into improper fraction.

3\frac{2}{5}=\frac{(3\times5)+2}{5}=\frac{17}{5}

Substitute this in the given expression.

\frac{3}{4} \times3\frac{2}{5}-\frac{5}{5}=\frac{3}{4} \times\frac{7}{15}-\frac{5}{5}

                  =\frac{21}{60}-\frac{5}{5}

To simplify the above expression, 21 and 60 are cancelled by 3.

                 =\frac{7}{20}-\frac{1}{1}

Do cross multiplication to make the denominator same.

                 =\frac{7}{20}-\frac{20}{20}

                 =\frac{7-20}{20}

                 =\frac{-13}{20}

The value of the given expression is \frac{-13}{20}.

F
Burka [1]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

F \alpha \frac{1}{d^{2} }

F = \frac{K}{d^{2} }

When F = 18; d = 2

18 = \frac{K}{2^{2} }

18 = \frac{K}{4}

Cross multiply;

18 x 4 = K

72 = K

There the equation connecting F and d^{2} is

F = \frac{72}{d}

Now, Find F when d = 6

All you do is to substitute d = 6 in to F = \frac{72}{d}

F = \frac{72}{6}

Therefore;

F = 12

Please mark me brainiest if correct.
