Answer:

D. Save you breathe, Mr. Scrooge. You can't be seen or heard.

Explanation:

The apparition of Scrooge's dead accomplice, Marley, visits him. Marley is wearing chains and is sentenced to hopelessness in existence in the wake of death in the wake of neglecting to do anything useful for mankind.

The Ghost of Christmas Past visits Scrooge and takes him on a voyage through Scrooge's youth, helping him to remember the sister he adored and those he has baffled with his absence of sympathy.

The Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge the homes of his agent and his nephew, where toasts are made to Scrooge's wellbeing and families commend the season, notwithstanding their poverty.

vladimir1956 [14]
Tax money is funding a violent, unjust war.
The crime that the state is committing is worse than the crime of withholding taxes.

Acts of civil disobedience such as withholding taxes are preferable to violent protest.

What is one purpose of the symbolism used in the love song of j alfred prufrock?
bekas [8.4K]

The symbolism used in the love song of J. Alfred Prufrock is meant to connect the everyday existence of a student living in an urban setting to the expectations which society upholds without reflection. As such, the lack of meaning that the main character of the poem fails to find in his studies is directly correlated to the absurd expectations which the greater part of his education forces down on him. These verses says this most clearly: ¨No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be; Am an attendant lord, one that will do, To swell a progress, start a scene or two¨

Franklin's autobiography writing style can be described as
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

plain and pragmatic

Explanation:

Franklin's writing style is plain and pragmatic, almost journalistic. When describing the events he includes in the Autobiography, he's direct about what happens to him and how he feels about it. If we were living in 1786, we'd probably understand him perfectly. Franklin's committed to involving readers in his text, almost like he's talking directly to us. For example, he opens his autobiography by saying:

"Now imagining it may be equally agreeable to you to know the Circumstances of my Life, many of which you are yet unacquainted with; and expecting a Week's uninterrupted Leisure in my present Country Retirement, I sit down to write them for you. "
