Answer:

The cost per fluid ounce is ≈$0.13

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use proportion to solve this;

Let x be the unit cost per fluid

100 fluid ounce= $12.99

 1     fluid once  =  x

Cross multiply

100x = $12.99

Divide both-side of the equation by 100

100x/100 = $12.99/100

(On the left-hand side of the equation, 100 at the numerator will cancel-out 100 at the denominator leaving us with just x while on the right-hand side of the equation $12.99 will be divided by 100)

x = $0.1299

x≈$0.13

Therefore the cost per fluid ounce is ≈$0.13

Answer:

The length of river D is 2550

length of river C is 2550+500=3050

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the river D be 'x'

and the river C is (x+500)

x + x + 500 = 5600

2x + 500 = 5600

2x = 5600 - 500

2x = 5100

x = 5100/2

x = 2550

The length of river D is 2550

length of river C is 2550+500=3050
