Both options are valid because they have happened before and can influence the mentioned drop in the population. Toxins in the food chain, just like the increase of water temperature, are easily proven and found and are mostly human made.

Answer: A low pCO2 indicates respiratory alkalosis which may be primary or secondary to a primary metabolic acidosis. Bicarbonate is calculated from measured [H+] and pCO2 values. A high standard [HCO3- ] indicates either primary metabolic alkalosis or a compensatory response to a primary respiratory acidosis.

Explanation: an increase in PCO2 causes a decrease in pH, which will increase minute ventilation and therefore increase alveolar ventilation to attempt to reach homeostasis. The higher the minute ventilation, the more exchange and loss of PCO2 will occur inversely.

Gracie squeezed some grapes and kept the juice in a vessel for 5 days at room temperature. On the fifth day she found that the j
Rina8888 [55]
The changes in the grape juice happened due to the alcoholic fermentation of the grape juice that occurs due to the presence of aerobic bacteria. The presence of yeast is the main reason behind the process of fermentation taking place. The froth is produced due to the presence of the formation of acid and carbon dioxide.

Convection currents in the magma drive plate tectonics. Heat generated from the radioactive decay of elements deep in the interior of the Earth creates magma (molten rock) in the aesthenosphere. The aesthenosphere (70 ~ 250 km) is part of the mantle, the middle sphere of the Earth that extends to 2900 km.

Because of the rapid rate of reproduction, the chances of survival for a species that produces ________ is greater.
Dima020 [189]

Answer: The correct answer for the fill in the blank is Asexually.

Asexually reproducing organisms have rapid rate of reproduction as only a single parent is involved in this. Also, there is no formation and fusion of gametes in this mode of reproduction.

They produce larger number of offsprings through rapid rate of reproduction. By doing so they have larger chances of survival.

For instance, if a part of bacterial species population is wiped out through viral infection, bacteria can compensate this loss by the rapid rate of reproduction. This increases their chances of survival.
