So, we've got two important and useful information:
guy's house is 9/10 miles away from the library
guy's house is 4/10 miles away from the cafe
now, the question will tell us which mathematical operation to use, it says:
how much farther than. that means comparing which means difference which means subtraction. (how much farther than=comparing=differnce=subtraction)
so now we know that we will subtract. but, subtact which number from which number? we need to subtract 4/10 from 9/10 which means it will be equal to 5/10 which can be simplified into 1/2
the answer is basically 5/10 and if you want to look smart for your teacher, you must write simplified=1/2..

hopw this helps... now.. for return i need the brainliest answer.. :) :D

Liz wants to estimate the percentage of people who rent their home. She surveys 320 individuals and finds that 176 rent their ho
SOVA2 [1]

Answer: 0.065

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sample size : n= 320

The sample proportion of people who rent their home : p=\dfrac{176}{320}=0.55

Significance level : \alpha:1-0.98=0.02

Then , Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=2.33

The formula to find the margin of error : -

E=z_{\alpha/2}\sqrt{\dfrac{p(1-p)}{n}}\\\\\Rightarrow\ E=(2.33)\sqrt{\dfrac{0.55(1-0.55)}{320}}\\\\\Rightarrow\ E=0.064799034281\approx0.065

Hence, the margin of error for the confidence interval for the population proportion with a 98% confidence level =0.065

In how many ways can a committee of 3 men and 2 women be formed from a group of 9 men and 10 women?
Setler [38]

Answer:

first you have to find the number of ways 3 men can be chosen, then the number of ways 2 women can be chosen, and then you need to multiply these numbers together to get the number of ways because multiplication will show the total arrangements possibilities. use combination since order does not matter.

number ways for 2 out of 10 women total: 10 choose 2= 45

number of ways for 3 out of 9 men total: 9 choose 3= 84

84x45= 3780

3780 total ways

number of ways
