Answer:

D. The March on Washington increased public support for civil rights legislation

Explanation:

Speaking on behalf of another person, thing or place is called political advocacy. An example of advocacy is when a non-profit organisation works to help the women suffering from domestic abuse and are unable to speak for themselves.

The group or organisation that tries to influence the government but doesn't hold post in the government is called political advocacy. Group and Peer advocacy are some types of advocacy.

The government should protect people’s rights.

Explanation:

However, Locke thought that the government had the power to give and take rights. Jefferson, on the other hand, believed that people had certain “natural” rights that could not be taken away: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Locke thought that people’s rights included Life, Liberty, and Property.

Which statement about the Qur’an is true?
Olenka [21]
The answer is C.
I got this answer by the process of elimination. Not A - Because it is a holy book consisting of the words of God (or Allah) that were revealed to Muhammad in a cave. Not B- The Quran is known for being written in only one language--that's Arabic (translations may be done in different languages, but a Quran itself will always be in the Arabic language.) Not D - Muslims constantly follow the Quran because it is their holy book, much like a Christian with the Bible or a Jew with the Torah.
Hope this helped!
