From looking at this figure you can see there are 2 different shapes in it. A parallelogram and a triangle.

For parallelogram, the formula to find Area is b*h
For Triangle its b*h÷2

So first we find the area of the parallelogram. In this case it would be...
 
A= b*h
=20*16
=320

Now we find the area for the triangle

A=b*h÷2
A=20*8÷2
A=80

Now finally, we add them all up to find the total area of the figure!
So, 80+320 = 400

Therefore, the area of the figure is 420 in^2. Hope this helped!
