(f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)\\\\f(x)=x^2-10\\\\f(-6)\to\text{put x = -6 to the equation}\\\\f(-6)=(-6)^2-10=36-10=26\\\\g(x)=7-x\\\\g(-6)\to\text{put x = -6 to the equation}\\\\g(-6)=7-(-6)=7+6=13\\\\(f-g)(-6)=f(-6)-g(-6)=26-13=13

7=40/z-1<br> z=<br> what dose the z equal?
monitta

Answer:

z =  \frac{47}{7} = 6 \frac{5}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

7 =  \frac{40}{z - 1}  \\ 7(z - 1) = 40 \\ 7z - 7 = 40 \\ 7z = 40 + 7 \\ 7z = 47 \\

\boxed{\bold{Answer:{\boxed{\green{\bold{z =  \frac{47}{7} = 6 \frac{5}{7}}}}}}}

Sally has made a scale drawing of the airplane, in which the wingpsan is 10 inches and the tailspan is 3 inches. What is the act
Alina [70]
My first impulse is to say you don't provide enough info with which to solve this problem.  We need to know how many inches in the model correspond to 1 foot in the actual plane (that is, the scale factor).  What is the scale factor here?

How do I solve x+2y=8
zepelin [54]
X+2y=8
2y=8-x |:2
y=-\frac{1}{2}x+4
y=ax+b ==> y=-\frac{1}{2}x+4
We calculate the zeros of functions (0,b)
(0,b) = (0,4)
We have solution:
x=0, y=4
