What was john Tyler significant for

History
2 answers:

John Tyler was significant for being the first vice president to become president because of the death of his predecessor. The predecessor is pretty much the President, that being President William Henry Harrison, the 9th President of the United States. Because President Harrison died from a fever in 1841, John Tyler automatically became the 10th President of the United States. That's how the U.S presidential line of succession works, if the President dies, the Vice President automatically becomes to President of the United States. John Tyler served as the U.S President for 1 term (4 years). Then he passed away on January 18, 1862.

How do you think the map influenced established immigrants who saw it in the 1860s?
Dahasolnce [82]
All of the names on the map are Irish, so the map suggests that Irish immigrants may take over the United States by the 1900s.
You may well be right about people's fears that immigrants, lots of them from Ireland, would overrun the country. Look up when the potato famine was, though. The map may be from the early 1900s, but, if so, not about the potato famine in Ireland.

I hope this helps.
