Police protection is the type of service that can be used by public as they work for the people as public servants.

Private good is the service that can be utilized by a single party only .It is considered as excludable good as well as rivalrous. Example- clothes, food  etc.

Locking the door of the house for protection is type of private good as the same lock cannot be used for other house if it is being used at one house already. This can secure the house one at a time only .
