Hello there,

Well to find the total time you would have to set up a proportion...

6 / 3/5 = x / 1

Now you crosss multiply and divide...

6 * 1 = 6

6 / 3/5 =30/3 = 10

Answer: 10 hours

Hope I helped!!

The area of a circle is to be computed by measuring the radius. The actual radius is r=2.67, but it was measured with an error.
Nookie1986 [14]
A) The exact area is just the difference between the two numbers:
     2.69-2.67 = 0.02 units

b) Calculate the area of the circle with the two values for the radius:
     A = <span>πr^2 = </span><span>π * 2.69^2 = </span>22.7328786 units squared
     A = πr^2 = <span>π * 2.67^2 = 22.39609987 units squared
</span>     Then, find the difference between the two numbers:
     22.7328786 - 22.39609987 = 0.336778731 <span>≈ 0.34 units squared (2.s.f.)

c) I'm not sure what the question is asking for (perhaps the rounding expressed </span><span>     at the end of b?)

d) The relative error is the absolute (exact) error divided by the actual value for </span><span>        the radius:
</span>    0.02/2.67 = 0.007490636704 ≈ 0.0075 (2.s.f.)

    The percentage area is the absolute (exact) error divided by the actual value     for the area, and then multiplied by 100 to find a percentage:
    (0.336778731/22.39609987)*100 = 1.503738298 <span>≈ 1.50% (2.s.f.)</span>

Graph the following equation using X- and y-intercepts.<br> x + y = -3
Kitty [74]

Answer:

x-intercept: (-3,0)

y-intercept: (0,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the equation, we can see that it is already in standard form, or in a Ax+By=C format. Whenever a line is put into standard form, the x-intercepts are represented by (\frac{C}{A},0) and the y-intercepts are represented by (0, \frac{C}{B} ). So, let's calculate them by doing the following:

1) Find the x-intercept by using the (\frac{C}{A},0) formula. Substitute the number on the right side of the equation for C and the coefficient for the x term for A. So, in this case, C = -3 and A = 1:

(\frac{C}{A},0)\\\\(\frac{-3}{1},0)  \\(-3,0)

Therefore, the x-intercept is (-3,0).

2) Next, find the y-intercept by using the (0,\frac{C}{B} ) formula and substituting the right values. C is still the number on the right side of the equation and B is the coefficient of the y term. So, C = -3 and B = 1.

(0,\frac{C}{B})\\ (0, \frac{-3}{1})\\(0, -3)

Therefore, (0, -3) is the y-intercept.
