Why were so few women involved in the founding of psychology ?
Afina-wow [57]

There were few women involved in the founding of psychology because women haven’t been taken seriously in the workforce. Psychology was found in the 1980s, where women employment was not common.

EXPLANATION

Psychology was found in the 1980s, by a German psychologist called Wilhelm Wundt. To this day, Wundt is known as the Father of Psychology. In the 1980s, women have not taken seriously in the workforce. Women were expected to either be a mother, a housekeeper, or a worker. A woman was not perceived as a leader, even more, a founder. If a woman at that time wanted to be a founder, she might have been ostracized by the people around her.

There might have been a few women making theories like Freud in those days, but the only way that their voice could be heard was to get a job as someone’s assistant, and their boss could claim their ideas. Women in that day and age were not encouraged to pursue a professional career and obtained a high degree in education.

Women were able to work in the workforce and getting paid equally as men only after the year 1920. This practice has been normalized for a couple of years, and finally, in the early 1960s, it was approved by law. British civil service announced that there has been a law that stated women must be paid equally as men.

Propeller rings guards and baskets are designed to do what
Vinvika [58]

Answer;

-Prevent Propeller Strikes

Explanation;

Propeller guards, or prop guards as they are commonly called, are devices that mount on the lower unit of an outboard motor.These propeller guards surround the propeller and protect it from damage when encountering a rock or other underwater obstacle.

They are manufactured from mild steel rod or heavy plastic, the guards allow water to flow freely through them, so the propeller is able to get a good bite on the water. Grass and weeds are also kept clear of the propeller, and damage to propellers, bearings and seals is greatly reduced through the use of guards.

What was the difference in electoral counts between George w Bush and al gore during the 200 presidential campaign
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

In the national popular vote, Gore received 48.4 percent while Bush received 47.9, losing by over 540,000 votes. U.S. presidents, however, are chosen by the Electoral College, a system in which “electoral votes” are assigned to states based on their population and then awarded as a lump sum to the winner of the popular vote in that state – currently, it takes 270 electoral votes to win. By the end of Election Night, 2000, Gore’s tally stood at 250 and Bush’s stood at 246 with Oregon, Wisconsin and Florida too close to call.

Anestetic [448]

Answer:

The correct answer would be D. brought Britain into the war

Explanation:

During this time, the British wanted no part of the First world war.

Germany couldn't breach the French Maginot line. So if going through, under, or over wasn't effective, why not go around it? This operation was called the Schlieffen Plan. This was pretty much attacking Belgium and going through Belgium to France.

Britain was allies with Belgium and didn't really like their allies being curve stomped by German troops.
