Answer:

(a) 142.5 rad/s

Explanation:

Torque = 45 Nm

Moment of inertia = 30 kgm^2

w0 = 0, t = 95 second

(a) Let it is rotating with angular speed w.

Torque = moment of inertia x angular acceleration

45 = 30 x α

α = 1.5 rad/s^2

Use first equation of motion for rotational motion

w = w0 + α t

w = 0 + 1.5 x 95

w = 142.5 rad/s

(b) if he hold rocks, then the moment of inertia change and then angular acceleration change and then final angular velocity change.

Ratling [72]

Answer:

D) momentum of cannon + momentum of projectile= 0

Explanation:

The law of conservation of momentum states that the total momentum of an isolated system is constant.

In this case, the system cannon+projectile can be considered as isolated, because no external forces act on it (in fact, the surface is frictionless, so there is no friction acting on the cannon). Therefore, the total momentum of the two objects (cannon+projectile) must be equal before and after the firing:

p_i = p_f

But the initial momentum is zero, because at the beginning both the cannon and the projectile are at rest:

p_i = 0

So the final momentum, which is sum of the momentum of the cannon and of the projectile, must also be zero:

p_f = p_{cannon}+p_{projectile} =0

calculate the energy dissipated by an electric iron which draws a current of 5A from a240v power supply for 25minutes
Sav [38]

Explanation:

Given,

I = 5 A

V = 240 V

T = 25 mins = 1500 sec

Now,

Energy dissipated = IVT= 5×240×1500 = 1800000 J

Gene therapy is a form of <br> .
stira [4]

Answer:

Gene therapy is an experimental form of treatment that uses gene transfer of genetic material into the cell of a patient to cure the disease. The idea is to modify the genetic information of the cell of the patient that is responsible for a disease, and then return that cell to normal conditions.

An orbiting satellite can become charged by the photoelectric effect when sunlight ejects electrons from its outer surface. Sate
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

the longest wavelength of incident sunlight that can eject an electron from the platinum is 233 nm

Explanation:

Given data

Φ = 5.32 eV

to find out

the longest wavelength

solution

we know that

hf = k(maximum) +Ф   ...............1

here we consider k(maximum ) will be zero because photon wavelength max when low photon energy

so hf = 0

and hc/ λ = +Ф

so λ = hc/Ф  ................2

now put value hc = 1240 ev nm and Φ = 5.32 eV

so hc = 1240 / 5.32

hc = 233 nm

the longest wavelength of incident sunlight that can eject an electron from the platinum is 233 nm
