use cross products

(3r+6) *2 = 9*(2r-4)

6r+12 = 18r-36  distribute

12    = 12 r -36    subtract 6r from each side

48 = 12r  add 36 to each side

4=r  divide by 12

I need help plsssss...........
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

<h2>A)x=3/2 y=½</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>to understand this</h3><h3>you need to know about:</h3>
  • system of linear equation
  • PEMDAS
<h3>let's solve:</h3>
  • since y is equal to both equation therefore we can substitute the value of y into the other equation
  1. \sf substitute \: the \: value \: of \: y :  \\  \sf  - x + 2 = 3x - 4
  2. \sf add \: x \: to \: both \: sides :  \\  \sf  - x + x + 2 = 3x + x - 4 \\  \sf 4x - 4 = 2
  3. \sf add \: 4 \: to \: both \: sides :  \\  \sf xx - 4 + 4 = 2 + 4 \\ 4x = 6
  4. \sf divide \: both \: sides \: by \: 4 :  \\  \frac{4x}{4}  =  \frac{6}{4}  \\ x =  \frac{3}{2}

let's figure out y

  1. substitute the got value of x into the second equation: y=3*3/2 -4
  2. simplify multiplication:9/2 -4
  3. simplify division:4.5-4
  4. substract:0.5 alternate form:y=½

Cos(x+y)/cos(x)sin(y)=cot(y)-tan(x)
zhuklara [117]
So there is an identity we'll need to use to solve this:

cos(x+y) = cosxcosy - sinxsiny

replace the numerator with the right hand side of that identity and we get:

(cosxcosy - sinxsiny)/cosxsiny

Separate the numerator into 2 fractions and we get:

cosxcosycosxsiny- sinxsiny/cosxsiny

the cosx's cancel on the left fraction, the siny's cancel on the right fraction and we're left with:

cosy/siny - sinx/cosx

which simplifies to:

coty - tanx

Arrange the geometric series from least to greatest based on the value of their sums.
son4ous [18]

Answer:

80 < 93 < 121 < 127

Step-by-step explanation:

For a geometric series,

\sum_{t=1}^{n}a(r)^{t-1}

Formula to be used,

Sum of t terms of a geometric series = \frac{a(r^t-1)}{r-1}

Here t = number of terms

a = first term

r = common ratio

1). \sum_{t=1}^{5}3(2)^{t-1}

   First term of this series 'a' = 3

   Common ratio 'r' = 2

   Number of terms 't' = 5

   Therefore, sum of 5 terms of the series = \frac{3(2^5-1)}{(2-1)}

                                                                      = 93

2). \sum_{t=1}^{7}(2)^{t-1}

   First term 'a' = 1

   Common ratio 'r' = 2

   Number of terms 't' = 7

   Sum of 7 terms of this series = \frac{1(2^7-1)}{(2-1)}

                                                    = 127

3). \sum_{t=1}^{5}(3)^{t-1}

    First term 'a' = 1

    Common ratio 'r' = 3

    Number of terms 't' = 5

   Therefore, sum of 5 terms = \frac{1(3^5-1)}{3-1}

                                                 = 121

4). \sum_{t=1}^{4}2(3)^{t-1}

    First term 'a' = 2

    Common ratio 'r' = 3

    Number of terms 't' = 4

    Therefore, sum of 4 terms of the series = \frac{2(3^4-1)}{3-1}

                                                                       = 80

    80 < 93 < 121 < 127 will be the answer.
