Carbohydrate can be divided into two groups which are simple and complex.

Explanation:  Carbohydrates are sources of energy which comprises of sugars, starches and fibers in fruits, milk, grain, vegetables and so on. They are also macronutrients because the body obtains energy and calories through the intake if carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are very important to a healthy life. Carbohydrates are divided into two groups which are simple and complex.

Simple Carbohydrates refers to simple sugar because they are foods that Can quickly absorbed into the blood stream. Examples are sugars in natural food sources including fruit, vegetables, milk and so on.

Complex Carbohydrates refers to starchy foods like white bread, cakes, pastries and so on.
