Answer: c.$71 per machine hour

Explanation:

The Pre-determined Overhead rate is the rate Thomlin Company forecasted that the company would incur total overhead for the current year.

They forecasted total overhead of $11,597,000 with 164,000 total machine hours.

Since the rate is based on Machine Hours the rate would be,

= Total Forecasted Overhead / Total Forecasted Machine Hours

= 11,597,000 / 164,000

= 70.71

= $71

Angell Inc. hired you as a consultant to help them estimate their cost of capital. You have been provided with the following dat
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

Option (D) is correct.

Explanation:

Given that,

Dividend, D0 =$1.20

Price, P0 = $50.00

Growth rate, g = 6% (constant)

Based on the DCF approach, then

Cost of Equity:

= [D0 × (1 + g) ÷ P0] + g

= [(1.20 × (1 + 0.06)) ÷ 50] + 0.06

= (1.272 ÷ 50) + 0.06

= 0.02544 + 0.06

= 0.08544 or 8.54%

Hence, the cost of equity from retained earnings is 8.54%.

Alla [95]

Answer:

qualified available

Explanation:

Qualified available Market refers to the situation when only customers with specific criteria are able to make a purchase. In most cases, those criteria revolved around age, gender, or group membership.

Alcochol is an example of qualified available market because it created a situation which only allow consumers older than 21 to make a purchase.

Other example would be Waxing salon.  Large portion of waxing salons only allow female customers to purchase their service (since the workers are also females and feel uncomfortable to give their service to male customers.)

Research an example of a monopoly in the United States economy, past or present. Construct a brief explanation of the monopoly a
a_sh-v [17]
I don't think there's anything more annoying than the ISP monopolies, specifically Comcast which has most of the US I believe. They never bother to upgrade their services only their prices and stupid cable bundle packages. I'm lucky enough to live in a large metropolitan area where a new fiber internet company just started up but before this last year there were only two ISP choices; Comcast or Century link. Suburban and rural areas typically only get one choice; expensive slow internet service from a local ISP monopoly.

What is an example of a scarce factor of production?
Maru [420]

Answer:

An example of scarce source of production is "Labour"

Explanation:

An example of scarce source of production is "Labour"

Labour

This refers to the work done by those who contribute to the production  processes.  Many people not in paid employment also provide things that are needed by  people. For example, a woman might not hold a job in order to raise her children  and look after the home.  Some people are more productive in the work place than others because they  have different levels of education, training and experience. They are said to  possess a greater amount of human capital.  This implies that this factor can be enhanced in an economy through educational  initiatives and investment in training.
