The five groups are fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. In addition, we called these wild animals vertebrates, they have backbones.

Some of the characteristics they have to determine their group :

Fish : has slimy scales, use gills for breathing.

Amphibians: has moist skin, young ones use gills for breathing, older ones uses lungs and their skin.

Reptiles: has dry scales, internal fertilization and lay eggs.

Birds: has feather covering their body, has wings.

Mammals: has hair covering their body, uses lungs for gas exchange and has mammary glands for feeding the young.

Linda and Ben request prenatal genetic testing to determine if their unborn child has Down syndrome. Which of the following tool
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

Karyotype

Explanation:

A karyotype is a picture of all the chromosomes in an individual. These images are analyzed by geneticists to identify structural changes in the chromosomes or to identify differences in number as is the case for Down syndrome.

Karyotyping is used to identify certain genetic diseases associated with chromosomal aberrations. This is associated with the field of cytogenetics.

Consider the diagram of the basic structure of a bacterium.
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

There is no diagram but the needed information has been provided. The answer is:

Part C

Explanation:

The bacteria is a prokaryotic living organism in the domain Bacteria. It is pretty because it lacks a membrane-bound nucleus that houses its genetic material (DNA), instead its circular chromosome is found naked in a region of the cytoplasm called NUCLEOID. The nucleoid region contains the genetic material of the bacterium cell.

Since bacteria reproduces asexually, which does not allow diversity among species, bacteria ensures they promote genetic recombination by exchanging their genetic material in three ways: Transduction, Transformation and Conjugation. This genetic recombination causes them to be better pathogens and improve their resistance. However , since the exchange involves the genetic material (DNA), it is only natural that it involves the region where it is found, which is the NUCLEOID.

When applying rigid-body mechanics to the study of human beings, which assumption is made?A. All of the above are assumed.B. The
Marat540 [252]

When applying rigid-body mechanics to the study of human beings, the assumption made is Option B.The body does not deform by bending, stretching, or compressing.

Explanation:

Rigid body mechanics is a body in which the gap between any two points will be constant in time, despite of external forces. The body cannot be deformed at any circumstances be it under application of any force. The forces acting over the body gets divided into two groups one is external, which shows the action of different bodies on the rigid body under force and internal force that binds the body together making it rigid. Body changes its motion only in case of pull against some external object.
