Which of these is the best method to measure the distance of a star
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
I think the correct answer would be the first option. The best method to use in order to measure the distance of  star would be to calculate the variations in the position of the star due to movement of Earth in its orbit. The doppler shift which is what is being described in the last three options does not calculate the distance rather it calculates the relative velocity. The method used in measuring the distance was introduced by Edwin Hubble where he found that relative velocity of a body in space is directly proportional to the distance of that body from Earth.

Which of the following describes a benefit of membership in a research community?
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

knowledge and valuable resources are shared among scientists

Explanation:

The best benefit and reason for joining a membership in a research community is that knowledge and valuable resources are shared among scientists. Since the entire community is working towards a common goal, then gaining information from everyone in order to get closer to that goal is priceless. Also, the ability to use high-end resources that would be impossible to use as a lone scientist due to its high price is also a very valuable benefit.
