Answer:

Satellite cells.

Explanation:

Glial are cells that are not neuronal and maintain homeostasis and provide support and protection to neurons in brain and other parts of body.

There are different types of glial cell and satellite cells are one of them.

The surface of cell bodies is covered by Satellite cells in sensory, sympathetic and parasympathetic ganglia that provide protection and support to neurons i.e. by providing the nutrients.

A lot of receptors are expressed by them for neurotransmitters and have intertwined processes that link them with other parts of the neuron

A child who weighs 32 pounds receives a prescription for amoxicillin with clavulanate
Leni [432]

The child should not be given that prescription because 250 mg/125 mg amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets should not be used until the child weighs at least 40 kg or 88.1849 pounds, because of the different amoxicillin to clavulanic acid ratios in the 250 mg/125 mg amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets (250/125).

Hypothesize what potential impact a mutated EGFR allele will have on a cell. Give one possible impact and explain your answer.
NemiM [27]

Answer/Explanation:

EGFR stands for epidermal growth factor receptor. It is a transmembrane protein acting as a tyrosine kinase receptor for epidermal growth factor ligands, which are associated with promoting cell division and proliferation. When epidermal growth factor binds to the receptor, it becomes activated and undergoes dimerization and autophosphorylation.

A mutation could occur making the receptor overactive. That is, it does not require ligand binding to become activated, meaning it is always in an "on" state. This would lead to uncontrolled proliferation, a hallmark of cancer.
