Bad gums may mean a bad heart. Researchers discovered that 81% of people who have suffered a heart attack has periodontal diseas

e, an inflammation of the gums. Only 30% of healthy people have this disease. Suppose that in a certain community heart attacks are quite rare, occurring with only 15% probability.

Answer:

0.405 or 40.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let event A=having a periodontal disease

event B=having a heart attack

we are given

P(A)=P(having a periodontal disease)=0.30

P(B)=P(having a heart attack)=0.15

P(A/B)=P(have a periodontal disease/have a heart attack)=0.81

P(B/A)=P(have a heart attack/have a periodontal disease)=?

P(A/B)=P(A∩B)/P(B)

P(A∩B)=P(B)*P(A/B)=0.15*0.81=0.1215

P(B/A)=P(A∩B)/P(A)=0.1215/0.3=0.405

There is 40.5% probability that if someone has periodontal disease will have a heart attack.

HELP PLSS WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST
Solve N = 3rt^4 - 5rz
(solve for z)
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

N = 3rt^4 - 5rz

now factor r out

N = r(3t^4-5z)

divide by r on both sides

N/r = (3t^4 - 5z)

subtract (3t^4)

N/r - 3t^4 = -5z

now divide by -5 to isolate the variable (z)

\frac{(n/r)-3t^4}{-5} = z

How to find A? help please and thanks
MrRa [10]
This problem exercises the concept of "similar triangles."

With similar triangles, we can compare the sides using ratios.
The equation we can use to find side A is stated below.

Side 1A / Side 1B = Side 2A / Side 2B

The number refers to the triangle, and the letter refers to the side of each triangle. Side A in both triangles must be the base of the triangle, and side B in both triangles can be either of the other sides. The only restriction is that once we pick a side B on triangle 1, we must pick that same side on triangle 2.

A / 7 = 3 / 2

Then we can solve for the length of side A.

A = 7*3/2 = 21/2 = (E) None of These
