The arrector pili muscles that cause goose bumps are vestigial organs now, because they no longer serve their original purpose—to make us look bigger or more threatening to prey. These muscles would’ve caused the hair on our body to stand up, warding off predators. Most likely, they’re remnants from our ancestors who had more body hair.

in Humans, goosebumps is a reflex that helps with the fight-or-flight response, meaning in intense situations, we either run or fight back, depending on the situation. Since we humans evolved from being on all fours to standing upright, these goosebumps actually acted like a danger meter, protecting us from deadly predators or anything dangerous if we could.

Give an example of mutualism and explain how it works.
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

The bees fly from flower to flower in search of nectar, which they transform into food, which benefits these insects.

On the other hand, whenever the bees are placed on a flower, particles of pollen adhere to their body; Such particles are transported to other flowers, resulting in plant pollination.

Explanation:

Mutualism is based on a version of the labor theory of value which it uses as its basis for determining economic value. According to mutualist theory, when a worker sells the product of their labor, they ought to receive money, goods, or services in exchange that are equal in economic value, embodying "the amount of labor necessary to produce an article of exactly similar and equal utility"

_____ refers to the loss of protein three-dimensional structure when temperature or ph is altered.
UNO [17]

Denaturation refers to the loss of protein three-dimensional structure when temperature or pH is altered.

Denaturation is the phenomenon in which the tertiary structure of the protein is broken down due to the breakage of bonds between the amino acids of proteins. This breaking of bonds occurs due to the change in pH or temperature from the normal at which the protein remained active.

Three-dimensional structure of the protein is its form in which the protein remains active and functional. It is generally tertiary structure of protein. This active tertiary structure is decided by the sequence of amino acids in the primary structure of protein, where the protein exists as a linear chain.
