During 1788 - 1793. France was going through some stuff. Louis XVI was not up for updating the centuries old rituals. Price control was non- existent, trade was unfair, taxes was a mess, low produce, it was just in favor for the nobility. They didn't have a fair system in place which is why the French Revolution happened.
