Let's assume

x is number of hours worked

y is amount paid

Since, this is linear relationship

We can select any two points

(2,36.50) and (4,73)

so, we can also write as

x1=2 , y1 =36.50

x2=4 , y2=73

Firstly, we can find slope

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

we can plug values

m=\frac{73-36.50}{4-2}

m=18.25

now, we can use point slope form of line

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

we can plug values

y-36.50=18.25(x-2)

now, we can solve for y

y=18.25x

or

y=18.3x..............Answer

Whats the solution of
y = x +2
2x - 5y = 2
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

x = -4, y = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

substitute for y

2x - 5(x + 2) = 2

distribute -5

2x -5x - 10 = 2

solve

-3x - 10 = 2

add 10 on both sides

-3x = 12

divide by -3

x = -4

now substitute for x in the equation y = x + 2

y = -4 + 2

y = -2

My question got deleted so I'll post these into two separate
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

1 million

1,000,000 seconds * 1 hour/ 3600 seconds * 1 day/ 24 hours * 1 year / 365 days

.031709792 years

Rounding to 3 decimal places

.032 years

50 years * 365 days/ 1 year * 24 hours/ 1 day * 3600 second / 1 hour

1577000000 seconds

46 inches * 1 ft/ 12 inches * 1 mile/5280 ft

0.000726 miles
