Answer:

11.5 is a rational number

Step-by-step explanation:

First let's see the definition of rational and irrational.

Rational number is a number that can be written in the form of \frac{p}{q}, where q≠0.

There rational numbers have the terminating or non terminating decimals with repeating the pattern.

For example: \frac{1}{3} = 0.33333.....

You can see that 3 is repeating non terminating decimals.

Irrational number is a number with non repeating decimals.

For example: \frac{22}{7} = 3.142857...

The given number is 11.5 which is terminating decimal number.

Therefore, 11.5 is a rational number.

please help me it is URGENT pls the first one is solve and the 2nd one is simplify I will give u lots of points thank you
klasskru [66]
I.) (5x+3)/4-(2x-4)/3=5
Clear fractions:
3·((5x+3)/4)=15x+9
4·((2x-4)/3)=8x-16
15x+9-(8x-16)=5
15x+9-8x+16=5
Combine like terms:
7x+25=5
7x=-20
x=-20/7

II.) (3/11)·(5/6)-(9/12)·(4/3)+(5/13)·(6/15)
Remember PEMDAS
So first multiply:
3/11·5/6=15/66
9/12·4/3=3/3·1/1=3/3=1
5/13·6/15=1/13·6/3=6/39=2/13
(15/66)-1+(2/13)
Combine:
15/66-1/1=15/66-66/66=-51/66
-51/66+2/3=-51/66+44/66=-7/66
Answer: -7/66 :)

The expression below is the factorization of what trinomial-1(x+5)(x+6)
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

-x^2 - 11x -30

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve using foiling. Ignore the -1 to begin with and just look at the part in parenthesis. Do x from the first parenthesis times the stuff in the second parenthesis.

ie: x(x) and x(6)

ie: x^2 + 6x

Then do the 5 times the things in the second parenthesis.

ie: 5(x) and 5(6)

ie: 5x + 30

Then add what you got from multiplying the first value to what you got from multiplying the second.

ie: x^2 + 11x + 30

This is a trinomial because it has three different variables. Now change all the signs to negative because of the -1 out front.

ie: -x^2 - 11x -30
