Millions of immigrants arrived in the United States at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The Americanization Movement was an effort of the US government to offer campaigns and programs to made foreigners to think, live and turned them into Americans. Many immigrants were unskilled workers and those programs were aimed to turn them into skilled, efficient, and productive workers that also could be good American citizens. For most immigrants, it was very difficult to leave behind its culture, traditions, and history.
