Here is the formula for finding a partitioning point:
x=x1+k(x2-x1), y=y1+k(y2-y1)
k is the ratio of the segment from the beginning point to the partitioning : the whole segment. In this case, k=AP:AB=5/16
so x=1+(5/16)*(-2-1)=1/16
y=6+(5/16)(-3-6)=51/16
so the answer is (-1/16, 51/16)

Please double check my calculation by yourself.

refer to this website for the formula and how to find k:

"This ratio is called k, and is determined by writing the numerator over the sum of the numerator and the denominator of the original ratio."

Multiply the two values together. 7.62 x 1.23 = 9.3726
10^2 x 10^4 = 10^6.

9.3726 x 10^6 is the answer in Scientific Notation.

30 Points! please help!
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

18) 4 * 10 ^ -10

19) t ^ 9

Step-by-step explanation:

18. When multiplying in scientific notation, just multiply the regular numbers together and add the exponents for the tens.

So it'll be 40 * 10^-11

However, the beginning number should have the decimal right after the 4, not any place after (for example, it's 3.056, not 30.56 or 3056.)

To fix this, move the decimal place forward one space from 40. to 4.0, and add 1 to the -11 power.

So the answer is now 4 * 10^-10

19. When dividing exponents, if the base number is the same, you can divide. (Basically, you can not divide x^2 and y^3 because x and y aren't the same)

Since in this case it's t, you can divide.

Dividing exponents is simple: just subtract them.

14 - 5 = 9

so the answer is t ^ 9

15 POINTS!!
Alexxx [7]
X^2 - 10x + 8 =0
x^2 - 10 + (-10/2)^2 - (-10/2)^2 + 8 = 0
(x - 5)^2 - 25 + 8 = 0
(x - 5)^2 - 17 = 0
To be honest , this is the final step for this equation. It seems like there is no any suitable answer for this question..
To me , I think the best answer will be the third option.
x - 5 =0
x = 5

2x-10 = 0
2x = 10
x = 5
I guess this answer seems like legit.. So I will choose the third option.
