You can conclude that it is a isosceles triangle (a triangle with 2 congruent sides)? I'm not sure though. :/

A department store buys 500 shirts at a cost of $12,000 and sells them at a selling price of $30 each.
zzz [600]

Answer:

<u>25%</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

A department store buys 400 shirts at a cost of $6,400 and sells them at a selling price of $20 each. Find the percent markup.

I couldn't seem to calculate: A department store buys 500 shirts at a cost of $12,000 and sells them at a selling price of $30 each.

Find the percent markup

The percent markup is % (Round to the nearest whole number as needed.)

Solve |2x - 2| &lt; 8
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

|2x - 2| < 8

it implies that

2x - 2 < 8

2x -2 + 2 < 8 + 2

2x < 10

x < 5

or

-(2x - 2) < 8

-2x + 2 < 8

-2x + 2 - 2 < 8 - 2

- 2x < 6

x > -3 ( the sense of the inequality reverse because I divided by minus)

The solution can be combine to

-3<x<5

Whats the answer and why
IRISSAK [1]
Apply the Pythagorean Theorem here.

Square the lengths of the 2 shorter sides:  (20 mi)^2 and (40 mi)^2.  Correct results are 400 and 1600.  Combine these:  obtain 2000.

Then the length of the diagonal (which is the distance between the 2 cities) is
sqrt(2000) = sqrt(400)*sqrt(5) = 20 sqrt(5)    (answer)

Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line that passes through the given points.
Pachacha [2.7K]
First find the slope using (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

(-2-4)/(5+16) = -6/21 or -2/7

Then plug in one of the points into y-y=m(x-x)

y + 2 = (-2/7)(x - 5)

Distribute the slope.

y + 2 = -2x/7 + 10/7

Subtract 2

y = -2x/7 - 4/7

So the answer is A.

1/2=q+2/3 solve the equation
adoni [48]
To solve for q subtract 2/3 from both sides:

(1/2-2/3)=q+(2/3-2/3)
(-1/6)=q
q= -1/6

I hope this helped!!
