White privilege is the term used to refer to the privilege and facilities that a social majority has over a social minority, in which case it refers to the privileges that the white population has over the non-white population (blacks, Indians, Asians, Latinos, among others) in a society where everyone should have equal privileges. The white privilege has existed since the days of slavery and is far from over, as society still over-values the light-skinned population, while discriminating against the dark-skinned population for no reason other than color.
