As a young soldier _________________________ drove across the nation, it took ______ days!
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

Explanation:

As a young soldier Eisenhower drove across the nation, it took 62 days!

In 1919, future president Dwight D. Eisenhower drove in a military motor convoy all across the nation, from Washington D.C. to California. This long and hard road over the Lincoln Highway (one of the first-ever built back in 1912.) took 62 days in total.

With the memory of this in mind, Eisenhower later was inspired to make a quality highway system in the U.S.
