Mathematics

Congruent segments are segments that have the same length.

In other words, if the length of segment DE equals the length of segment FG, then we can say the segment DE is congruent to segment FG. The symbol that we use for congruence is an equal sign with a squiggly line over it. It looks like this ⇒ ≅.

We can also use hashmarks to show that our two segments are congruent.

The image provided shows the example I was talking about above.

Identify at least one confounding variable that undermines the conclusion drawn in the following fictional study:
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

Identifying at least one confounding variable that undermines the conclusion drawn in the fictional study is:

All students took the same comprehensive test.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a study, an independent variable causes an effect on the dependent variable. But a confounding variable is the variable that influences the independent variable as well as the dependent variable.  If this third variable is not controlled, it might lead the researcher to make a wrong estimate of the relationship that exists between the independent variable and the dependent variable.

A high speed train travels at a speed of 300km/h. if the train sets off from a station A at 13 44 and reaches station B at 15 12
Masja [62]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The train leaves station A at 13:44 and arrives at station B at 15:12.

Which means the train took 1 hour and 28 minutes to arrive at station B.

The train travels at 300 km/h. It took at least one hour, so the answer > 300 km.

Now, the remaining 28 minutes. We divide them by 60, as there’s 60 minutes in one hour and multiply by 300, as that’s how fast the train travels per hour.

28/60*300 = 140.

300 + 140 = 440.

The distance between the stations is 440 km.
