Sexual harassment at work can have very serious consequences both for the harassed individual as well as for other working women

who experience it secondhand.
The consequences to the individual employee can be many and serious. In some situations, a harassed woman risks losing her job or the chance for a promotion if she refuses to give in to the sexual demands of someone in authority. In other situations, the unwelcome sexual conduct of co-workers makes the working conditions hostile and unpleasant—putting indirect pressure on her to leave the job. Sometimes, the employee is so traumatized by the harassment that she suffers serious emotional and physical consequences and very often becomes unable to perform her job properly.

According to data compiled by Equal Rights Advocates, a women’s law center in the U.S., 90 to 95% of sexually harassed women suffer from some debilitating stress reaction, including anxiety, depression, headaches, sleep disorders, weight loss or gain, nausea, lowered self-esteem and sexual dysfunction. In addition, victims of sexual harassment lose $4.4 million dollars in wages and 973,000 hours in unpaid leave each year in the United States.

–“Effects of Sexual Harassment,” Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights

.Signs and symptoms are terms used to describe the structural and functional changes that accompany a disease. Which of the foll
Monica [59]

Answer:

It is a manifestation that is noted by an observer.

Explanation:

Symptoms are subjective while "signs" are objective.

For example, if a patient complains of a headache, body pain and dizziness, these are considered subjective because the observer cannot feel what he's feeling. Therefore, these are considered symptoms.

If the physician checks the patient's temperature and found it to be high (39°C), then this is now considered a sign because it is noted by an observer. Other examples of signs are: heart rate, pulse rate, urine output, etc.

What percentage of North American adults may be functioning below their potential due to prolonged exposure to stress?
lana66690 [7]
More than half of the population of North America suffers or may be suffering from prolonged exposure to stress, creditably because of World War II and the Cold War that gave fear and stress of a global catastrophe. The best answer is D, but if this was conducted as some type of census, it is possible for it to be B, but it isn't too likely because they said "may be". Options A and C are definitely not the answer to this question. If you liked this answer, please give a Brainiest medal.
