A delta is a body of sediment deposited at the mouth of the river or stream where it enters an ocean or lake. Water, or flood in this case, wouldn't tear it down, but it instead builds up the delta. Periods of drought however, have the opposite effect.

Who has the power to expel senators from office?
Mars2501 [29]

The answer is the U.S. Senate.

Further Explanation:

The Constitution of the USA grants the power of expulsion of senators to the US Senate by a two-thirds vote. This is different from the power of impeachment trials that the Senate has over the executive and judicial officials. In 1798 the Senators cannot be impeached but can only be expelled. The Impeachment trials of William Blount who have been expelled from the Senate. No expulsion has occurred since the civil war. Censure is a lesser punishment that represents formal disapproval in the 19th century. Censure does not include any formal punishment. Benjamin R Tillman is one senator to be censured and never been re-elected. In many cases, the senators have failed to secure the two-thirds vote whereas in other cases the senators resigned while their proceedings are going on. In a few cases, the senators died or their term expired. Expulsion is the serious form of action taken against the members of the Congress. According to article 1, section 5 of the Constitution every house determines the rules of procedure to punish the members for disorderly behavior. Censure is less severe than expulsion.

Trait-environment interaction, trait-environment correlation

Trait-environment interaction refers to the response that a certain individual would give if they are exposed to a certain environment.

trait-environment correlation refers to whether a certain stimulus could act as a trigger that can cause Trait-environment interaction .

What kinds of figurative language does king use in his speech to describe inequality and the work of the civil rights movement?
Pavlova-9 [17]
The opening of King's speech uses metaphors to compare the promises of freedom made in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Emancipation Proclamation and the failure of these documents to procure those freedoms for all. He then turns to a metaphor familiar to all--the weather.

Quote: "This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality."

Metaphor: King compares the legitimate anger of African-Americans to sweltering summer heat and freedom and equality to invigorating autumn.

Analysis: Anyone who's visited Washington D.C. in August has a keen understanding of what a "sweltering summer" produces--frustration, suffering, restlessness and a longing for relief. The hundreds of thousands in attendance would have clearly understood the implications of the need for relief from a sweltering summer day and the need for legislation that would procure rights for minorities; relief that began to arrive with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
