Cocaine abuse would be classified in the DSM-IV-TR on Axis I. It is the fourth version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). The most recent version of the DSM-IV is officially called the DSM-IV-TR (Text Revision). Axis I refers to all psychological diagnostic categories.
