Sandy is considering moving from her apartment into a small house with a fenced yard. The apartment is noisy, and she has diffic

ulty studying. In addition, the fenced yard would be great for her dog. The distance from school is about the same from the house and from the apartment. The apartment costs $750 per month, and she has 2 months remaining on her lease. The lease cannot be broken, so Sandy must pay the last 2 months of rent whether she lives there or not. The rent for the house is $450 per month, plus utilities, which should average $100 per month. The apartment is furnished; the house is not. If Sandy moves into the house, she will need to buy a bed, dresser, desk, and chair immediately. She thinks that she can pick up some used furniture for a good price. Suppose that the apartment building was within walking distance to campus and the house was five miles away. Sandy does not own a car. How would that affect her decision? a.It would make the house more desirable. b.It would make the apartment more desirable. c.It would make both choices less desirable. d.It would make both choices more desirable. e.It would have no effect on the decision; buying or not buying a car is a separate decision.

Answer:

Option B; IT WOULD MAKE THE APARTMENT MORE DESIRABLE.

Explanation:

Decision making is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering information, and assessing alternative resolutions.

Decision making involves choosing between possible solutions to a problem. Decisions can be made through either an intuitive or reasoned process, or a combination of the two.

Since Sandy does not own a car and the apartment building was within walking distance to campus and the house was five miles away, it would be difficult to get to campus from the house without a car. Therefore, rather than moving into the small house with a fenced yard, the apartment would be more desirable.

Bonnie purchased a new business asset (five-year property) on March 10, 2019, at a cost of $30,000. She also purchased a new bus
bearhunter [10]

Answer: The cost recovery deduction for 2019 for these assets is $43000.

Explanation:

New business asset (five year property) purchased March 10, 2019 = $30000

New business asset (seven year property) purchased on November 20, 2019 = $13000

Additional depreciation of the first year is referred as the bonus depreciation.

Also, bonus depreciation in the year 2019 is at 100% of the value of assets bought during this year.

∴ Total assets value = New business asset (five year property) + New business asset (seven year property)

= $30000 + $13000

= $43000

Hence, the cost recovery deduction for 2019 for these assets is $43000.

Which best describes the reason situational leadership is so practical for managers to use?
steposvetlana [31]
Situational Leadership as a theory was developed by Dr. Paul Hersey in the late 1960s which aims to give further understanding between the leaders and its members. The fore cores of the theory are to ‘Diagnose’ (knowing the situation), ‘Adapt’ (Change the behaviors of the members in the level of the situation), ‘Communicate’ (letting the members understand the situation) and ‘Advance’ (further the developments). This is of course very helpful as its gives the leaders (managers) the opportunity to adjust themselves according to the situation.
